Instructions to Participants

General Instructions for Applicants

1.) The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. at King and Erb Streets, Waterloo
2.) Participants should arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
3.) Enter at King Street via University Ave. in Waterloo and there will be a Parade  Coordinator (wearing a yellow jacket) to direct you to your position
4.) The parade will conclude at Cameron Street in Kitchener
5.) It is your responsibility to provide transportation at the end of the parade
6.) Stopping along the parade route is not permitted. Maintain a constant distance between you and the entry you are following
7.) Entry must comply and be decorated with the Christmas theme
8.) The throwing of candies, pamphlets or any such items is strictly prohibited due to insurance restrictions.  Handouts at curbside is allowed
9.) Any motorized vehicle must have a licensed driver
10.) No smoking or alcohol consumption during the parade
11.) There is a maximum of two vehicles per organization or company entry
12.) No one in your entry is permitted to dress as Santa Claus. (There is only one Santa and we provide that individual. Seeing more than one Santa confuses the children. Parade Marshals will require you to remove the costume)
14.) The Registration Form must describe the type of vehicle you are using (ie: truck, tractor & trailer, car, walkers, bicycles)
15.) A short description of your entry should be noted on the Form for use by the commentators for Rogers Community Television
16.) Please note that the contact person on the form should be an individual we can communicate with at any time regarding issues
17.) Registration and payment must be received prior to the Confirmation letter being issued by us
